Horvath to the Oilers will never happen. Too much money wanted and no history of wining. Unless Vancouver take Pulli in trade for him.

So, putting Draisaitl on the table for a D, who are the targets? I'm getting Selanne for Tverdovsky and Kilger vibes.

It only makes sense if someone overpays for Draisaitl...which I think a few teams would. To trade 4 quarters for a dollar...I'd rather keep Draisaitl. Just find someone who needs him and get a good deal.

Are you familiar with Horvat's career? His career high is 61 points. This season is an anomaly. He won't shoot 23+% forever. When he regresses, he will be a capable 2C at best for a contender. Who is the 1D coming back in a Draisaitl trade?

Happy for Kane to return to the ice. As much as I dislike him for his off ice issues, no one deserves what happened to him. Glad he is back as quick as he is

Bluesdroogie if you talk Parayko, Kyrou, and Neighbours and 2nd pick might consider that for Driasiatal.

Horvat is not much better than Draisaitl defensively.
He’s also never been anything but a mediocre 2C until this season

Paryko would become 2nd line d-man, Kyrou second line center or wing and Neighbours future 3 line center so I wouldn't exactly call them spare parts. However trading Dria will a final resource if the ask is more than $12 million per year.

None of any of this makes sense. Somehow we are going to add Horvat and then move Drai for Parayko+Kyrou+ after? The 2 St.Lou boys make about $15 mil combined next year, and what do y'all think Horvat's ask is going to be after this year? 8mil? 9?

So Drai's 8.5 comes off the books, cap goes up a mil, and we add 23+ mil? There aren't enough existing contracts we could toss into the wood chipper to make that all work out.

Kostin and Janmark are going to want Poolparty/Yamamoto money, because Holland. Bouchard will get a decent raise.

Sounds like the Oilers need a special guest appearance from Peter Chiarelli to pull the trigger on this improvement to the defence for the low low price of Draisaitl.
